Two different views

Two different views

There are two very different ways we can approach a subject. When two people are thinking about entering into marriage, one sees the losing of one’s singlehood; while the other sees the gaining of a family and a spouse. When you view life, what approach do you have—do you get anxious and concerned because you see a worst case scenario, or do you get excited about the good things that can come out of it?

I do not think that we need to merely accept one way because we are programmed that way. Certainly, we are all born with different personalities, and therefore, some people can naturally think one way over another. But, in God, our personality can change, because when our God changes us, our character changes, which naturally begins to change our personality as well.

It is my prayer for His people that each of us will get excited about the good things the Lord has stored up for us. I cannot imagine how difficult life will be if we lived seeing things from a worst case scenario. The Lord has graciously taught us, “Do not worry about tomorrow.” Instead, we are to “Seek His kingdom and righteousness first,” which I believe includes seeing what good things the Lord has prepared for those who love Him.
