Visitor's Guide

1. Our Vision

We earnestly desire to glorify our God threefold:

a) See Christ - to love Christ more through our worship

 • Upward love for God (Is 43:21)

b) Share Christ - to love Christ more in our fellowship

 • Inward love for the brothers & sisters (Eph 4:11-13)

c) Show Christ - to help the unbelievers love Christ

 • Outward love for the unbelievers in the world (Matt.28:19-20)

2. Our Faith

a) Denomination—PCA

  1. Because we know how fallible we are, we desire accountability as a church; therefore, we are part of His larger church, the Presbyterian Church in America.
  2. And the beauty of our denomination is that we believe in the reformed faith, delighting in God’s sovereignty to rule and guide our lives, completely for His glory.

b) NLMA—sister churches

  1. Moreover, we are part of the network of sister churches called New Life Mission Association; of which, there are currently 6 sister churches, including ours.
  2. The reason for our sister churches is so that we can gather our strength together to invest in overseas mission, especially Cambodia, and to plant new churches, sharing the same vision of church planting and overseas mission, with a reformed understanding of our faith.

3. Our Worship

a) We desire to “Worship the right God (the Triune God) in the right way (Biblically) with the right heart (no confidence in the flesh and glory only in Christ).”

b) We know that the worship of our God must be in the power of the Holy Spirit, with all of our hearts, according to God’s truthful word (Jn 4:23-24).

c) Imagine a worship where you will enter it with a full sense of your worthlessness, but as the worship progresses, once again you taste His forgiveness, you taste His sanctifying power, you taste His communion with you, you taste His delight, and you leave that worship with a renewed, refreshed and committed heart to live for His glory.

4. What to Expect on a Sunday at NLMC-NC

a) We start our KM worship, our Children’s worship, our Youth Group Bible study and our EM Bible study at 1:30pm.

b) At 3pm, while the EM worship, the KM have the Bible study, and our children and youth have group activities.

c) From 4:15pm, we all have our fellowship time together.

d) Only on the first Lord’s Day of each month, we have our “Covenant Worship”—two worship services (EM and KM) offered simultaneously at 1:30pm.

All Sunday Schools are canceled on the first Sunday of each month.

This is an opportunity where all of the family members can worship together.

Fellowship with children follow after our worship, to create a sweet time of joy and blessings in the church for all of our members, especially for our children.

5. The first steps for our guests

After visiting our church, and when you are ready to know more about our church…

a) We offer our New Family Class, giving our guests an opportunity to get to know us, as we also get to know you more.

b) After becoming a member of our church, we desire for every member to serve to edify His church, for His glory.
